On a day known as “April Fool’s Day,” when people play jokes on one another, harmless, there is a “fool” that is not harmless But heartbreaking when you consider their spiritual condition, destination, and the worst type of fool! This “fool” tries to save his life by living for him or herself as the center of the universe as though they are “Creator and God,” having no responsibility to the Creator or Redeemer.
“The Fool has said in his heart, “NO GOD!”-{Psalm 14:1.}. This sums up the heart of the fool.
 

1.- A REFUSAL TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND SUBMIT TO THEIR MAKER. REBELLION TO THEIR CREATOR. “

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.”- {Rom 1:18-23}.
The “Fool,” is an idolater, replacing God with worship of SELF and CREATION, the CREATURE, declaring they determine who is and is not worthy of worship!
  • They know He exists because of the GOD’S COMMUNICATING THROUGH THE TESTIMONY OF… CREATION and CONSCIENCE within them, and THE SCRIPTURES, AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST… Here in Romans 1 we read, But profession to be wise, they become fools because they exchange God for a creature!

2. – THEY HAVE DESTAIN FOR THE WORD OF GOD AND REJECT ITS AUTHOR – GOD- AND AUTHORITY’S CLAIM ON THEIR LIVES.

“And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”-{Matthew 7:26-27}. The foundation of their decision-making is not built upon His Word, anything else is “foolish.”

3. -THE “FOOL” LOOKED AT WHAT HE HAD ACCUMULATED AND IN HIS ARROGANCE WAS MAKING FUTURE PLANS, TRUSTING IN HIS POSSESSION, WHEN GOD WAS HOLDING HIS LIFE AND HIS FUTURE IN HIS HANDS!

”And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’- {Luke 12:19-20}.
The “Fool,”rejects the Creator, His Word, as Ultimate authority, lives and makes plans as though they are in control, and no concern for their eternal destination. With every breath they edge closer to eternity!

THERE IS HOPE FOR THE “FOOL.”

It is to acknowledge their OWN SIN against God and turn from sin and repent of self-rule and submit to Christ’s reign for their lives and find in Him the purpose of their existence. They were made for Him. Does God consider you a “Fool?”

The “fool,” denies God, replaces God, plans a future without God, rejects the Word of God.The Fool will meet God; “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you…”-{Luke 12:20}

They are to be pitied and prayed for and warned, to turn to God and submit to the LORD Jesus. “Today is the day of salvation, harden not your heart’s” it is heartbreaking to see “fools,” knowing they were created by God and for God and they have rejected HIM who gave Himself for them on the cross to bear all their sins and was raised on the third day because GOD accepted His Substitute work on their behalf as their sin bearer of all who repent and believe.

LISTEN TO THE HEART OF GOD;

”The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”{2 Peter 3:9}.

God has been and is being PATIENT with you, so that you may REPENT! SEE HIS MERCY, GRACE, AND LOVE TOWARDS YOU, WHO HAS AND IS OFFENDING HIM!

Turn to God and submit to the LORD JESUS CHRIST as Master to rule over you, Savior to save you from the penalty and power of sin, and as a result be adopted into God’s family, accepted, forgiven, and through the Spirit of God empowered to live a new life that desires and has the power to Please Him- “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.-{Phil 2:13.}
PLEASE REPENT AND STOP BEING A “FOOL.”

Stepping into eternity unprepared is the greatest and Saddest of all fools…
